The well attended monthly family meeting satrted off with the rotary prayer recited by Rtn.Gerald Selvaraj. Jt Secretary read out the minute of the previous meeting which was passed. After a few announcements the president called up Rtn Mallika Sukumaran to in introduce Mr.V.Mariappan, a painter of repute specialising in Ravi Varma and Tanjore paintings for the weeks vocational award. Mr. Mariappan demonstrated the fine points of painting by doing a beautiful spot painting of a scene of Nature. After presentation of certificates and pleasentries to the awardee it was time for the much awaited games for annes and annets which was conducted by Rtn.Mallika Rtn Chokkalingam and President Girish. There was widespread participation with annes and annets thoroughly enjoying their time. Hosts of the day Rtn.Gerald and Rtn.Nicewin took care to cleanup the whole premises and made meticulous arrangements to keep the guests happy. Prizes were given away to all winners liberally this being the last family meet of this rotary year. The meeting came to a close with President extending birthday and wedding day greetings to the concerned rotarians and jt secretary proposing vote of thanks.

Minutes of meeting held on 15 June 2009.
The regular meeting started off with the rotary prayer recited by Rtn. Peer Mohammed. Valuable rotary information was given by Rtn.Mallika Sukumaran. President Girish proudly announced the winning of 24 awards – two of which was presented by DGN AP at the club meeting - at the award nite at Sivkasi “SARAVEDI”. The guest speaker Rtn.N.S.Santhoshkumar was led to the dais who spoke on Katta panchayat & the lagal Impact. He lucidly explained about various constitutional guarantees and the fine way the constitution of our Nation has been created by Dr.Ambedkar and team. He explained about the pre-amble of the constitution in which one can feel the fragrance of the systematic legal system India is having and said inspite of all the safeguards and strong legal system Katta Panchayat is rampant all over the country. It is called by different names in different parts of the country, he said. He forcefully argued to do away with this malady from the society which illegal and wrecking havoc on the fabric of the nation. After the fire brand speech was over Rtn. Gerald Selvaraj conducted the community service project by presenting a spike shoe worth Rs.2000/- to Mr.Preeth an athelete and note books to 6 students of Pudupatti School.

Meeting Minutes
The regular meeting of the club commenced with rotary prayer recited by Rtn Vasu. Minutes of the previous weeks meeting was read out by rtn.ss shankar . Rtn Lena raised a query with regard to the publication of the new member proposals. Rtn. Lena wondered why there is lack of information on the new candidates and the proposer’s name. President assured the member that the information will be published again. President then made a few announcements regarding forthcoming events like awards nite at sivakasi, and invitations of clubs from rameswaram and devakottai.
Vocational service director then presented the weeks vocational service awardee Mrs. Parameswari Rajan, A musical exponent and music teacher of vast experience. The award was presented by Mrs.Chokkalingam. Mrs.Parameswari then rendered ‘Kurai ontrum illai’ to the delight of the members.
Rtn Chokkalingam then introduced Ms. Bhuvaneswari ,a deserving Bhatratanatyam dancer who is having her arangetram on 21 st this month for the community service project by presenting her a cheque for Rs.4000/-. The cheque was presented to her by Rtn Chellappan. The floor was then handed over to Rtn Priya Ram Prabhu who had been to Kashmir recently. The next half hour Ram has given vivid details about his experience in Kashmir and enthused the audience. After few query’s were answered by the guest speaker jt secretary extended vote of thanks and the meeting was adjourned for dinner.
Charity collection Rs.1000 + 50 +50 + 20 = 1120/-
