The joint board meeting of the outgoing and incoming boards met on the 1st of July at Rotary hall at 08.00pm and discussed issues like the programmes done by the current team, expenses incurred on various items, installation date and venue of the new team, the chief guest to be invited for installation, budget for next term and a representation made by our messenger Mr.Mani.
After threadbare discussion, the venue and date was fixed as Aryaas Mahal, Maharaja Nagar on 06 July 2009. The Chief guest is to be decided soon and the fine tuning of the installation ceremony is left to president elect Melkio and team.
Budget was presented by Rtn.RBK Samuel who was requested by the board to fine tune it a bit to accommodate more allocation for community service which he agreed to do.
Mr. Mani's representation for excusing his absense for the last month on health has been accepted and salary for the month to be paid to him. Another of his represntation to sanction a grant for his medical treatment was also accepted by the board and decided to allow a grant of Rs.1000/-. The joint board also decided to enhance his salary to 1750/- per mensem on another of his representation.
The board recorded a special appreciation on the effort made by GSE co-ordinator to accommodate the GSE team from Tennesse against odds.
Last but not the least, the joint board decided not to increase subscription inspite of a deficit budget in the face of increased payment to RI due to dollor rate conundrum.
